Alicante Harbour

Benimar

Benimar urbanisation where the villa is located is a very quiet residential area, with local restaurants within a 5 minute stroll.  There is little night-life, but local bars have the occasional quiz night or karaoke.

Alicante

Alicante is a vibrant and very Spanish town, 40 minutes drive up the N332 from Rojales. Here you'll find fantastic beaches, great shops, wonderful restaurants and fabulous views from the castle. The castle is accessed by a tunnel and then lift. Or why not just stroll along the palm tree-lined promenade or the harbour area?

After a busy day shopping or sight-seeing head for the area around Calle Mayor for some great Tapas bars.

Segura River in Rojales
rojales

Rojales

Our villa is in the town boundaries of Rojales, which is a small town, virtually untouched by tourism. The Segura river runs through it, and the old part in the centre is attractive with a wheelchair accessible promenade along the river (park near the town hall). There is a market on a Thursday morning (next to the river, just along from the centre).

Almoradi on a Saturday
almoradi

Almoradi

Almoradi is a small town approximately 8 kms from Rojales. There is a market on a Saturday morning where you can buy the most delicious fruit and vegetables. Also sample churros - hot sausage shaped donuts, served in a cone (one cone usually is enough for two people)!

Elche (Elx)

Elche is a 30 minute drive from the villa. The historic centre is very wheelchair friendly. There are numerous squares with fountains and cafes. There is an Archaelogical Museum (MAHE), ancient fortress, impressive Basilica and Municipal Park all within 5 minutes wheel of each other.
